One of the disadvantages of sharing or embedding of videos is that it often leads to traffic and links being sent to other websites like YouTube or Metacafe and no gain for your website as such. Therefore remember to get other websites to link to your site. The video Sitemap is another very important aspect that Google considers and as and when a user discovers and views your video(s), the videos will be linked to your hosted environments. All this (if you are lucky enough) could finally land you up on the video search results on Google.
